Q1. Please introduce yourself with your IGN.
Tanashri
Q2. Please explain what made you play Dragon Nest!
Hello, ED! I am writing this 28 minutes before the deadline, because I forgot that tonight is the deadline, so please forgive me for the writing quality.
I had gotten into Dragon Nest SEA over nine years ago, when I was in the sixth grade, during the Level 24 cap. I saw my guild master in another MMORPG on Facebook (Miss Sasha Misha, I miss you...It's me, "Teijal.") encouraging us to check out this game. The game server in which we played was to be closed, so I decided to check out this game.
I started as a Sorceress, then a Force User, because WOW, physics! I had been so obsessed with physics at the time (University is a whole 'nother story.). DN's action is LIKE NO OTHER.
l other MMORPG.
Q3. Do you have the best moments while playing Dragon Nest?
But, definitely, becoming a Legate Dark Summoner is one of my gaming milestones.
Regarding being a Legate, just a few years back (during the early 60 cap, as a Majesty), I could not even dream of having such a rank in PvP. I always wondered how much time people spent in PvP every day. Today, from experience, I know the answer: all day, all night. This game simply has the best combat style in the business. It is the most addictive!!
Regarding being a Dark Summoner, there were very few of us using this class back in 60 cap, since her sister Spirit Dancer outshone her. There was this notion that Dark Summoner is not a viable class in mass PvP. The idea of defying that notion and having defied that notion is very fulfilling for me.
In the first place, why Dark Summoner? I did not really choose Dark Summoner because I wanted to be a Dark Summoner. I chose this class naively! I keep sharing my story about how I became a Dark Summoner to everyone with whom I become close; it is funny, at least for me.
Back in 60 cap, I had just returned to DN, after a looong academic year. Kali had just been released. I did not know a thing about this class' skills. Being a PvP Majesty, first thing I decided to do as a [Returned Hero] was to ladder. I met this Kali who summoned a lot of cool spirits. I was so amazed, because I had never seen a game that used spirits in such a manner. Also, she moaned a lot.
After this match with a Kali, I was encouraged to create one; hence, I created one. I reached level 16, and had to choose between Screamer or Dancer. Guess which one I chose: As the name implies, Screamer (the one that I expected to moan a lot). I had not seen a sign of the spirits that I saw in the ladder match with a Kali, but I persevered. Leveling was not as easy back then! Came Level 45, then I had to choose between Soul Eater and Dark Summoner. My hopes went up with the term "Summoner." In my head, I was like, "Wow! Finally, maybe those spirits are hers." But...I was wrong. Dark Summoner summons Spirit Hands. I was a bit disappointed, but at the same time, I had found myself liking this class. Leveling was not easy, so I decided to remain a Dark Summoner. But, it was a bit sad back then. Despite having decent gears (+10 unique armors) and weapons (+13 legendary weapons), I would always find myself not having the best raid and nest opportunities; hence, I got limited to having only PvP opportunities. Being a quite seasoned PvP player, I decided to try out Dark Summoner in PvP, and boy was I not disappointed. I decided to main this class, with which I am still obsessed today. The rest is...history.
Thank you, ED, for over 10 years of Dragon Nest.
Love,
Siddharti (now Tanashri)
Q4. If you have your own know-how to enjoy Dragon Nest even more, please share!
Definitely, the game is enjoyable with friends. Be friendly. Be talkative! Make new friends. Today, you will never run out of strangers to meet in the game. When you are tired of PvE, try PvP! It only gets better with the upcoming [Big Bang] patch. Let us also not forget to support our tireless developers so we can enjoy this game years and years more!
